The club realizes the future of our sporting events depends on the youth of our country. Therefore, Northeastern Kentucky Fish and Game strives to offer as many youth oriented programs as possible and the club is constantly updating and considering new youth activities.
We now offer youth programs in archery and .22 rifle shooting. Year 2010 will see several new programs dedicated to our younger sports persons.
NEKFG now offers a .22 squirrel rifle shoot for boys and girls from nine and under to 20 years old.
The club also has a youth archery division in our indoor archery range and outdoor 3D archery range.
Several of the club officers are working on a junior sportsman program that will begin in year 2010 with a combination of events including .22 rifle, .22 pistol, archery, trap and fishing. All participants must complete instruction in both classroom and hands on portions of the program to receive a certificate of achievement and recognition at the club's annual dinner.
As with all club youth programs, there will be appropriate age groups and strict supervision.
